Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Calen Gray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Deon Babbetti!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gray tries to clinch up but Babbetti circles away and keeps his distance.
Gray keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Gray misses with a takedown attempt
and Babbetti counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Babbetti.
Gray takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Gray is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.
Babbetti wants to control for a moment but Gray uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Babbetti is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Gray gets to his feet. Babbetti looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Babbetti is trying to control Gray's posture but Gray avoids it.

Gray looks up at the clock and then as Babbetti takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Gray smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gray has knee on belly momentarily but Babbetti bucks him off and regains half guard.
Gray is breathing heavily.
Babbetti is controlling Gray's trapped leg to prevent Gray from advancing to side control.
Babbetti tries to roll over but Gray keeps him under control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

That was a close round but I would say that Calen Gray will probably get the nod.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Babbetti is on top in guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Deon Babbetti just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Babbetti is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Babbetti has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Gray tries to buck Babbetti off but he can't manage it.

That was a close second round but I would say that Calen Gray will probably get the nod.

Babbetti takes Gray's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Gray is in trouble.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Babbetti has the hooks in. Gray is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Babbetti is striking well from the back but Gray escapes and manages to control the positon and works his way to half guard. A much better position - the crisis is over for the time being.
Babbetti wants to pass to mount but Gray is defending the position.
Gray is looking to control Babbetti's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gray avoid being mounted?

Babbetti is keen to just control but Gray is a slippery customer.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Gray wants to control but Babbetti is keeping busy and won't allow it.
