The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Rogers is looking to reverse the position.

Jones looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Jones is chipping away with strikes.
Jones tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Rogers tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Jones easily slips into full mount!
Rogers tries to lock up and control but Jones gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
We've been hearing good reports from Rogers's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Jones is working for a guillotine from mount but Rogers frees his head quite easily.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Jones wants to finish this one by submission but Rogers is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Jones.
