Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leroy Mckenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Tavares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Leroy Mckenzie has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leroy Mckenzie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gabriel Tavares! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Paulo Santos and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tavares lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Leroy Mckenzie has been cut. Mckenzie is looking to land body kicks. Tavares shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mckenzie's guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Mckenzie can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tavares controls the pace. Tavares lands a couple of elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tavares wants to stand but Mckenzie has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Mckenzie could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Tavares stays in close to Mckenzie's body and controls the position. Tavares forces his way into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mckenzie trying to hold on to Tavares's head to control him but Tavares postures up.
Tavares with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Tavares uses his free foot to push down on Mckenzie's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mckenzie. Tavares looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tavares's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Tavares with the ground and pound from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tavares connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Tavares lands a big shot there that rocks Mckenzie but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Mckenzie taking shots to the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tavares trying to control but he's not successful this time. Tavares working for a submission but Mckenzie is keeping him at bay. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tavares controlling the pace for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gabriel Tavares dominated that round. The cut man is working on Leroy Mckenzie's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Tavares feints and as Mckenzie raises his hands in defense, Tavares changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Mckenzie preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Tavares looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Tavares wants to control from the top but Mckenzie keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tavares slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Tavares decides to stand back up. Mckenzie tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tavares swivels and escapes. Mckenzie feints and then cracks Tavares's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Tavares down. Tavares closes the distance and clinches. Tavares manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Tavares had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mckenzie defends it easily. Gabriel Tavares has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tavares pulls Mckenzie in close to his closed guard and prevents Mckenzie from doing any damage or advancing position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tavares is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Mckenzie rolls with it to try and escape but Tavares cranks on the arm and Mckenzie is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
