Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ethan Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul has chosen Volbeat-Warrior's call as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. John Brown had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paul shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Brown as he avoids it easily.
Paul shoots and misses
so Brown counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Paul trying to keep a closed guard but Brown is proving a slippery customer.
Brown connects with a couple of short punches.
Paul looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Paul had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Brown defends it easily.
Brown lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Paul working for a triangle but Brown defends it easily.
Brown has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Paul to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Brown is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Paul pulls down on the head and he's put Brown to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Ethan Paul!
