Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nikon Holm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bubba Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nikon Holm! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bubba Joe! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Holm. No joy for Joe on that attempt. Joe instigates a clinch. Holm has Joe pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Joe manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Holm is trying to drag Joe to the mat but Joe just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Joe with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Joe is struggling to control the position. Joe using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Holm taking a breather. Holm prevents Joe from breaking the clinch. Joe is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Holm tries for a takedown but Joe manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nikon Holm. That's going to take a lot out of him. Holm has Joe pressed against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round. Holm pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Holm throws a series of punches but Joe moves out of range. Left hook, right uppercut from Joe.
It looks like Nikon Holm has been cut. Joe tries to close the distance and clinch but Holm swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Joe is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Holm closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Holm works to advance to full mount. Joe defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Holm lands a big elbow. Joe taking shots to the head. This has been an exciting period of action! Holm takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Holm with good strikes from the mount here! Holm has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holm cracks Joe with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Holm is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Joe can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Holm is breathing heavily. Holm tries to control but Joe wriggling away. Joe is wriggling around trying to escape.
Joe slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Holm content to control rather than advance. Holm stops Joe from getting back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Joe blocking the ground and pound attempt from Holm. Joe is looking to get back to is feet but Holm passes into side control.
Joe tries to get back to half guard but can't. Joe wants to control but Holm postures up. Joe is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Holm tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Holm has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Holm is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Joe has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Holm is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Joe knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Holm goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Joe has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Holm but great work by Joe. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nikon Holm dominated that round. The cut man is working on Nikon Holm's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Joe fails with the takedown and Holm counters with a shoot takedown. Joe fights it but they end up in guard. Holm slips nicely into half guard. Holm sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Joe defending well though. Holm is pressing down on Joe's thigh, looking to free his foot. Joe is holding on for now. Holm moves nicely into side control. Joe wants to control but Holm postures up. The ground and pound from Holm seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Holm tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Joe striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Holm wants to control but Joe is keeping him busy.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Joe tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Joe looks to clinch and Holm counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Holm. Holm stops Joe from standing up. Joe wants to hit a switch here but Holm passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Joe there! Joe swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holm wants to control the pace but Joe is squirming around nicely. Holm jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Joe is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Joe and Holm has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Joe is trying to buck Holm off. Joe is trying to get back to half guard. Joe wants to get back to his feet but Holm is dominant here and he's now got Joe's back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Joe is trying to get back to his feet but Holm has full control of the position and if anything, Joe has just worked his way into a worse spot. Joe finds himself mounted whilst avoiding strikes. Joe is looking to get to half guard. Holm wants to control the pace but Joe is squirming around nicely. Holm is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Joe is surviving well by controlling Holm's body position as best he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Holm with a couple of short strikes. Holm wants to control the pace but Joe is squirming around nicely. Joe is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

BOOM! Holm connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Nikon Holm dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Nikon Holm's cut. That's time! Holm's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Nice takedown defense from Joe. No joy for Holm on that attempt. Holm closes this distance looking for a takedown but Joe circles away. Nikon Holm is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Joe tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Holm counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Joe's guard now. Joe keeping moving, preventing Holm from controlling successfully. Holm might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Holm stops Joe from standing up. Holm trying to control but Joe is working from the bottom. Holm pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Joe is keeping the position for now. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Joe is looking to stand up but Holm isn't so interested in that idea. Joe lands an upkick as Holm stands over him. Joe is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Holm is controlling him. Holm passes easily into side control. Nice work. Joe tries to bench press Holm off him but Holm keeps the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Holm lands some shots froms side control. Holm is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Joe knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. And that's the end of the fight! Nikon Holm showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Holm, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
