Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Jo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen All Me as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alexander Jo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Johnny Smith!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Smith looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Jo shoots in looking for a takedown but Smith manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Smith misses the jab.
The fighters circle momentarily. Smith darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Alexander Jo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick misses from Smith.
Jo closes the distance and clinches up with Smith, looking for a takedown. Jo pushes Smith against the cage but Smith circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jo slips under a jab.
Smith looks to land a right hand but Jo moved out of range.
Smith lands with an overhand left.
Jo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smith but Smith pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexander Jo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith throws a head kick that misses.
Jo avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Jo fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Smith lands a really nice looking cross but Jo seems unphased.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jo closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Smith's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Smith with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Jo is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Jo lands a couple of good shots and Smith has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

The referee is taking a good look at Smith as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Jo!
Jo lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Smith hold on?!
Jo scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Smith is looking for a way out.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Jo. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Jo is working the ground and pound. Can Smith escape?
Jo lands with a hammerfist to the side of Smith's head.
Smith is trapped and Jo is scoring with shots to the head and body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jo is looking to finish with some ground and pound!


Smith is rocked!
Jo is scoring with a succession of shots from the back. Smith is covering up - he's had enough and the ref steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexander Jo!
A less than humble Alexander Jo misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
