Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steve Ewell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kantaro Hoshino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ewell comes to the cage accompanied by White Dude. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kantaro Hoshino!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ewell tries to clinch but Hoshino is having none of it.
Hoshino avoids the head kick by Ewell.
Hoshino looks to throw the jab but Ewell is out of range.

Ewell moves into the clinch.

Ewell escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hoshino throws an overhand right that lands on Ewell's shoulder, as Ewell tries to avoid the shot.
Ewell cracks Hoshino with an open hand slap.

No joy there for Ewell, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That was a close round but I would say that Steve Ewell will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hoshino lands a big uppercut and Ewell crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Ewell looks OK. Hoshino waves Ewell back to his feet!

Hoshino lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Ewell falls backwards - clearly groggy! Hoshino dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
