Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Owen Glyde! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Barrett Johnson! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Chris Edwards and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Johnson misses. Excellent takedown into side control there by Johnson. Johnson controls the position from side control. Johnson lands a few punches from side control. Johnson is trying to get an arm triangle but Glyde is defending well. Johnson working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Johnson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Johnson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Glyde to his feet. Johnson throws a combination that misses and Glyde counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Johnson! This has been an exciting period of action! Johnson is looking for a sweep. Johnson holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson can't do much from the bottom here. Glyde tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. You can see the frustration on Johnson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Glyde throws an elbow but Johnson slips to the side and avoids it well. Glyde throwing shots but missing, from side control. Glyde cracks Johnson with a big right hand but Johnson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Johnson is pushing Glyde's head away, looking to escape. Glyde manages to hold on to the position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson is looking for a sweep. Glyde wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working. Glyde working away. Glyde postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson pushes Glyde away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Glyde gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Glyde is putting a hurting on Johnson here, landing some big shots from side control. You can see the frustration on Johnson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Johnson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Johnson is looking to improve his position.

Glyde not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Johnson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Glyde seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Johnson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Glyde looks to score some points with some ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Glyde thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Johnson's head. Johnson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Johnson keeping moving, preventing Glyde from controlling successfully. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Glyde with a nice head shot there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Owen Glyde will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Johnson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Johnson fails with the takedown and Glyde counters with a takedown into side control. Johnson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Glyde passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Johnson! Glyde with a couple of short strikes. Johnson wants to hold on but Glyde pushes him away. Glyde looking to finish Johnson with some ground and pound. This is bad for Johnson! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Glyde prevents Johnson from getting the reversal. Glyde punishing his opponent with strikes. BOOM! Glyde connects with a massive shot to the dome!

It looks like Barrett Johnson has been cut. Johnson can't escape the position.
Glyde lands a big shot to the head and Johnson winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Owen Glyde! Owen Glyde decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
