PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lol Jk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lol Jk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Matt Williams!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Eliza Hachem and Ron Honeybunn.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jk stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Williams throws a series of punches but Jk avoids them all with ease.
Jk definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Williams scores with a jab to the body.
Williams shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jk sprawls well. Jk wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Williams gets slowly back to his feet.
Williams throws a lazy head kick
and Jk counters with a nice low kick that buckles Williams's knee momentarily.
Williams lands with an overhand left.
Williams gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Jk counters with an outside leg kick.

Williams shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Williams gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Williams doesn't succeed with the takedown
enabling Jk to counter with a crisp jab.
Lol Jk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Williams.

Williams fails to land with a series of punches.

Jk slips a jab from Williams.
Williams throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Williams misses with a double jab
and Jk counters with a left and a right that stings Williams.
That kick from Jk tenderised Williams's leg. Williams is trying to keep his angry face on.
Williams dives in for a single leg takedown but Jk sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Matt Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Williams looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jk is fending him off so far but Williams persists. Nope, Jk circles away and we're back to standing.

Williams rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jk moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lol Jk is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Williams swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Williams misses with a wild combination.
Williams fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Some wild striking there from Williams.
Williams throws a right and a left that both miss.
Williams looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Williams works over Jk's head and body with a nice combination.

Williams misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Williams looks winded!
Jk connects with a solid leg kick.
Williams throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jk.
Williams lands a two punch combo.
Williams looks to land a combination but Jk avoids it well.
Williams goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Williams tries to close the distance and clinch but Jk swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Williams misses with a takedown attempt
and Jk connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Williams wants to clinch
and Jk counters with a slapping leg kick.
Jk dodges the punch combination from Williams.

Williams fails with the takedown.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Williams.
Jk circles away from the clinch attempt.
Williams throws a combination that misses
and Jk counters with a thumping low kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jk defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Williams.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Williams tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Matt Williams dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Jk fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Williams has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Lol Jk is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Williams looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Matt Williams seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Williams throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jk counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Jk has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Jk avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Williams tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Williams wants to clinch.
Williams misses with a double jab
and Jk counters with a nice leg kick.
Sloppy strikes from Williams. Those never looked like landing.

No joy there for Williams, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Williams throws a series of punches but Jk avoids them all with ease.
Jk lands a nice leg kick that just misses Williams's sensitive parts.

Jk fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Williams has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Jk throws a leg kick which misses Williams's front leg but catches the back leg as Williams tries to avoid it.
Jk shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Williams eats them both and turns towards Jk to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.


It looks like Matt Williams has been cut.
Jk misses with a wild combination.
Williams fails with an attempt to clinch.
Williams will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jk thumps Williams with a low kick.
Jk chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Williams's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Jk lands with an uppercut that bounces Williams off the cage and back into range.
Williams looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Williams tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jk swivels and escapes.

Williams misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Williams is rocked!
Jk closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Williams out cold! Williams corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.

A very excited looking Lol Jk made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
