Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alden West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alonzo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva has chosen Trophies as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Alonzo Silva has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Alden West's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alden West! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alonzo Silva ! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Ivan Kurochkin and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Silva closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Silva thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Silva lands a nice short elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. West looks like he's trying to stand up.
Silva is trying to work for a kimura but West is defending well.
Silva is stalling here. West is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Silva seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and West has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. West throwing shots but missing, from side control.

West will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Silva wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! West misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

West remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. West fails to land a wild elbow strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. West stands up. West tries to clinch but Silva is having none of it. Silva lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Silva . Silva throws a right and a left that West avoids nicely. A good leg kick by Silva . West moves in looking to clinch but Silva pushes him off. Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. West rushes Silva and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Silva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Alden West dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Silva throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts West as he jumps to the side. West really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. West moves into range and clinches up with Silva . West has Silva pushed against the cage. Silva fails to pull guard.
Silva pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Silva tries to break free but West pushes him back against the cage. West pressing his opponent against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. West avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Alden West has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alonzo Silva . West stops a takedown attempt from Silva .

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with West for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as West walks away with a smile on his face. Silva gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but West circles away quickly and effectively. Nice takedown defense from Silva . No joy for West on that attempt. Silva shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Silva was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Silva wants to stand and escape but instead West has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Silva looking to sweep here. No luck so far. West throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Silva works some decent striking defense from the bottom. West with a flurry of punches that miss. West with a nice head shot there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. West connects with a couple of short punches. West wants to get up but he can't break Silva 's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. West postures up in Silva 's guard and throws a big left but Silva blocks it. West throws a big elbow that misses. West gets to his feet - Silva follows without any prompting. Silva is breathing heavily. Silva closes the distance and clinches. Silva tries to break free but West pushes him back against the cage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. West content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Alden West dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Silva rushes West and presses him up against the cage. West has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Silva uses from the top position. West striking from the bottom.

West throws a strike aimed at the side of Silva 's head but Silva avoids it well. West cracks Silva with an elbow. That is naaassty. Alden West overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. West misses with the ground and pound. Silva is trying to get back to half guard. Silva takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Silva avoids any damage from the ground and pound of West.
That's four minutes gone in the round. West decides to stand up, so the ref orders Silva to his feet. Silva wants to land a leg kick but West is out of range. West tries to close the distance and clinch but Silva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. West darts in and clinches Silva up against the cage. West is trying to trip Silva . He has hold of a leg but Silva is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. West persists though and gets the takedown into guard. West throwing strikes but missing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. West tries to stand but Silva is controlling from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Alden West showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for West, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
