Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Tyco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nepumuk Drachenstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drachenstein comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Die Ärzte - Friedenspanzer kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tyson Tyco! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nepumuk Drachenstein! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Donk. Drachenstein catches Tyco right on the button with a cross. Tyco scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Tyco keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Drachenstein is looking for a sweep. Tyco is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Tyco slips a nice elbow through Drachenstein's hands, connecting with Drachenstein's forehead. Tyco working the head and body with strikes. Tyco trying to control the action but Drachenstein is working from the bottom. Tyco trying to control from Drachenstein's half guard. Drachenstein has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Drachenstein looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Tyco trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Tyco has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Tyco works over Drachenstein with some ground and pound from guard. Tyco lands a couple of elbows. Tyco has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Drachenstein preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Drachenstein can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tyco controls the pace. Tyco prevents Drachenstein from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tyco working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Tyco trying to control the position from guard on top but Drachenstein is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tyco scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Tyco showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Tyco content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Tyco wants to control from the top but Drachenstein keeps moving. Tyco passes into half guard. Tyco working Drachenstein over with strikes. Tyco not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyco looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Tyco is trying to control the action in half guard but Drachenstein is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Tyco content to control rather than advance. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Tyco is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Tyco lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Tyco trying to control the action but Drachenstein is working from the bottom. Tyco throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Drachenstein blocking the ground and pound attempt from Tyco.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tyco not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Tyco is looking to take a break and control but Drachenstein is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Tyco working the head and body with strikes. Tyco thows a huge punch but Drachenstein dodges it nicely.
Tyco thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Drachenstein's head. Tyco controlling the action here. Drachenstein wants to control but Tyco is keeping busy and won't allow it. Drachenstein is trying to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tyco thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Tyco is looking to stall here but Drachenstein recovers full guard. Drachenstein really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tyco. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Drachenstein not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tyco wants to control from the top but Drachenstein keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tyco landing with the ground and pound. Tyco sitting in guard, not really doing much. Tyco pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Drachenstein is keeping the position for now. Drachenstein manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Tyco is looking to improve his position but Drachenstein isn't that keen on the idea. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tyson Tyco dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Tyco will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Tyco falls off balance throwing a combination
and Drachenstein counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Tyco gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Drachenstein has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. Drachenstein scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Drachenstein missing with a left hand there. Tyco was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Tyco uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Drachenstein. Tyco lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Tyco closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tyco looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Drachenstein is avoiding damage well.
Tyco wants to lay and pray for a moment but Drachenstein keeps working. Drachenstein is working to avoid the ground and pound but Tyco connects with a decent elbow. Tyco throws an elbow but Drachenstein slips to the side and avoids it well. Tyco throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Tyco throwing strikes but Drachenstein manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Tyco tries to buck Drachenstein off but Drachenstein is having none of it. Tyco is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Drachenstein's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Tyco tries to get to full guard but Drachenstein has control of the leg. Drachenstein sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Tyco defending well though. Tyco desperately trying to maintain half guard. Tyco is not content to let Drachenstein control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyco slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Tyco looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Drachenstein got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tyco has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Drachenstein has managed to get both his arms back between Tyco's legs - danger averted. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Drachenstein accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Tyco has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Drachenstein should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Tyco has tightened it up now! Drachenstein should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
