The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mikixi fails to land with a series of punches.
Mostert shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mikixi but Mikixi pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mikixi looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Mostert!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Mostert is pushing Mikixi's head away, looking to escape. Mikixi manages to hold on to the position though.

After winning the bout, Bernardo Mikixi thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
In defeat, Pieter Daan Mostert stepped up to the mic, saying 'That sucks I'll do better in my next bout'.
