Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Yakovitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Azamat Bagov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Joseph Yakovitz has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Joseph Yakovitz seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joseph Yakovitz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Azamat Bagov! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Columbo Gatti and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive. Bagov takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Yakovitz connects with a single shot there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bagov fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Yakovitz gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bagov to score an easy takedown into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Bagov landing with the ground and pound. Yakovitz looking to control.
Yakovitz keeping full guard, as Bagov tries to pass. Bagov throws a big right hand that misses. Bagov stops Yakovitz from standing up. Yakovitz wants to sweep here but Bagov controlling him for the moment. Bagov looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bagov decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Yakovitz, up you get! Yakovitz connects with a nice looking jab.
Yakovitz displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bagov. Yakovitz scores with a jab to the head.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bagov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Joseph Yakovitz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Azamat Bagov. Bagov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Yakovitz is fending him off so far but Bagov persists. Nope, Yakovitz circles away and we're back to standing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Yakovitz lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Bagov takes a jab right on the kisser.
Bagov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Bagov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Azamat Bagov dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Bagov doesn't succeed with the takedown and Yakovitz counters with a right hand to the body. It looks like Yakovitz has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Joseph Yakovitz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Yakovitz leaves Bagov with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Yakovitz lands a two punch combo.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice body punch from Yakovitz. Yakovitz is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Yakovitz scores with a nice right hand.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bagov shoots in for a takedown but Yakovitz shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Joseph Yakovitz dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Bagov misses with a takedown attempt - Yakovitz sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Yakovitz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bagov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sloppy strikes from Yakovitz. Those never looked like landing. Bagov moves out of range of the strikes. Yakovitz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yakovitz scores with a decent looking hook. Bagov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bagov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Yakovitz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bagov gets a takedown into half guard. Bagov is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Yakovitz doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bagov. Bagov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bagov stops Yakovitz from getting back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Azamat Bagov. I think Bagov has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
