Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steve Reeves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jefferson Steelflex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reeves comes to the cage accompanied by Motley Crye - Kickstart My Heart. Steelflex comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Dirty Hous' kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Jefferson Steelflex will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Steve Reeves! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jefferson Steelflex! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Lou da Vinci and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reeves slips a straight right by Steelflex. Steelflex will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Steelflex avoids a kick to the body.
Reeves closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Steelflex to the mat! Steelflex manages to get full guard. Reeves thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Steelflex not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Reeves throws a big right hand that misses. Reeves throwing strikes but missing. Reeves trying to control the position from guard on top but Steelflex is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Steelflex pulls Reeves in close to prevent any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reeves showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Reeves drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Reeves jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Reeves shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Steelflex but Steelflex pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reeves is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Reeves showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Steelflex.
Steelflex misses with a series of wild punches.
Reeves tries to clinch but Steelflex is having none of it. A combination from Steelflex does no damage. Reeves tries to close the distance and clinch but Steelflex swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Reeves throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Steelflex dodges the punch combination from Reeves.
Reeves shoots in and bounces Steelflex off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Steelflex is looking to stand up but Reeves isn't so interested in that idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Steelflex working for submissions but it's allowed Reeves to get to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steelflex holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Reeves wants to lay and pray for a moment but Steelflex keeps working. Steelflex is trying to get back to full guard. Steelflex is trying to maintain the position but Reeves is very close to passing his half guard. Reeves is looking to advance position but Steelflex won't allow it. Steelflex has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Reeves is working away from the top position though. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Reeves prevents Steelflex from standing back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reeves is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Steelflex has managed to free his arm - good work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Reeves fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Steelflex, pushing him back against the cage. Steelflex tries for a takedown. No joy.
Steelflex looks gassed! Reeves drags the fight down to the ground.
Reeves has his foot on Steelflex's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Steelflex works his way back into a safe position though. Reeves looking for a sweep. Not yet Reeves, not yet. Reeves might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Steelflex wants to control from the top but Reeves keeps moving. Steelflex wants to get up but he can't break Reeves's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Reeves lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Steelflex! Reeves swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Steelflex is now in Reeves's guard. A big mistake from Reeves there, giving up the dominant position!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Steelflex avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Steelflex tries to stand but Reeves is controlling from the bottom. Reeves throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Steelflex trying to control but Reeves is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Reeves dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Steelflex connects with the punch. Reeves throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Reeves gets a takedown into half guard. Steelflex wants to get back to his feet.
Steelflex is trying to maintain the position but Reeves is very close to passing his half guard. Reeves seems to be looking for submissions.
Steelflex kicks off Reeves and gets to his feet. Steelflex takes a kick to the side of the head. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Steelflex wants to clinch up but Reeves keeps it at a distance. Steelflex connects with a crisp jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reeves clinches up against the cage. Reeves successfully pulls guard.
Steelflex wants to control from the top but Reeves keeps moving. Reeves trying to control the position.
Reeves had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Steelflex is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Reeves Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Steelflex's back instead. Reeves gets his hands free as Steelflex looks to control. Steelflex tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Reeves is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Steelflex has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Steelflex bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steelflex in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Steelflex wants to stand but Reeves is controlling his posture from full guard. Steelflex stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reeves swivels though and keeps the full guard. Reeves working for a triangle but Steelflex defends it easily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Steelflex accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Reeves keeping moving, preventing Steelflex from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reeves being controlled here, momentarily. Reeves has his foot on Steelflex's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Reeves passes Steelflex's left leg - he's now in half guard. Reeves working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Steelflex is looking to control Reeves's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Steelflex avoid being mounted? Steelflex on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Steelflex keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Reeves is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Steelflex is just riding it out for now. Reeves eventually gives up the hold. Steelflex trying to get back to full guard but Reeves takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reeves looking to control but Steelflex is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Reeves fails to advance to Steelflex's back. Steelflex is working to get back to half guard.
Reeves swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
