Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nate Crook! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jose Vovchanchyn! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vovchanchyn throws a series of punches but Crook moves out of range. Crook ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Vovchanchyn moves away. Vovchanchyn lands a nice looking body shot.
Vovchanchyn moves out of range as Crook strikes. Vovchanchyn shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Crook eats them both and turns towards Vovchanchyn to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Vovchanchyn tries to clinch up but Crook circles away and keeps his distance. Vovchanchyn cracks Crook with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Crook waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Vovchanchyn. Vovchanchyn staying out of range there. Nate Crook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vovchanchyn connects with a right hand. Crook shakes it off. Vovchanchyn darts in and clinches Crook up against the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Vovchanchyn. Vovchanchyn lands with a short head shot on the inside. We've been hearing reports that Crook has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Vovchanchyn working some nice short punches in the clinch. Crook blocking some punches.

Crook is rocked! Vovchanchyn swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Vovchanchyn goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Crook is looking to break free of the clinch but Vovchanchyn has double underhooks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vovchanchyn keeps control of Crook as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Vovchanchyn scores with a shot to the side of Crook's head. Oh Crook is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Crook breaks the clinch.
A big right from Crook misses. Vovchanchyn lands with a big left! Crook is wobbled badly! Vovchanchyn comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Crook to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
