Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wayne Cambell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buster Knott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knott is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Kanye West vs. The xx - Touch The Sky (Carlos Serrano Mix) . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Wayne Cambell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Buster Knott!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cambell closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Knott's guard.
Cambell postures up in Knott's guard and throws a big left but Knott blocks it.
Knott working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cambell.
Cambell missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Cambell makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Cambell working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Cambell wants to control from the top but Knott keeps moving.
Cambell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Knott on the ground.

Cambell drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Knott manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cambell has Knott in his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Knott thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Cambell has Knott pulled in close to control his posture.

Knott stands up from Cambell's guard - Knott perhaps looking for a knockout.
Cambell is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Cambell shoots for a takedown but Knott saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Cambell definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Knott cracks Cambell with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Knott is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cambell doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Knott.

Cambell is pulling down on Knott's head. It's preventing any offense from Knott, at least for the moment.
My spies in Elite Training Facility inform me that Knott has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Knott wants to control from the top but Cambell keeps moving.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Knott wants to stand but Cambell has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Buster Knott has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Knott changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cambell looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Wayne Cambell will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Cambell fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Knott fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cambell sprawls well initially but Knott persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Knott connects with a nice short shot to Cambell's temple.

Knott got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cambell has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Knott has managed to get both his arms back between Cambell's legs - danger averted.

Knott dips to his left and cracks Cambell with an uppercut!

Cambell shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Cambell was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Knott sneaks out the side door and pushes Cambell away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Knott swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Cambell shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Knott napping and manages to drive through into side control!

You can see the frustration on Cambell's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Knott is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Cambell. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

Knott has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Cambell has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Well Knott has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
