Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, The Sigit! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pelle Kickelssen! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kickelssen throws a chopping leg kick but Sigit manages to avoid taking any serious damage. A low kick from Sigit is predictable there and Kickelssen counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kickelssen. Sigit is looking for a takedown. Sigit managing to block the knees to the body from Kickelssen.
Sigit wants to take the fight to the mat but Kickelssen manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Sigit takes an elbow to the forehead. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kickelssen swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Sigit drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kickelssen pulls his leg out and moves away.

Kickelssen tries to clinch up but Sigit circles away and keeps his distance. Sigit shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kickelssen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Sigit stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kickelssen swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sigit is working Kickelssen over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sigit accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Sigit tries to free his leg and advance position but Kickelssen is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sigit is stalling in the full guard. Sigit has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Sigit slips nicely into half guard. Sigit is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kickelssen sees it coming and defends easily. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sigit in particular looking to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sigit frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Sigit has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Kickelssen is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). The Sigit! The Sigit got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
