With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rich Van Winkle!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Van Winkle throws a hook to the side of Gatsby's head but Gatsby sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

The fighters circle momentarily. Gatsby darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Van Winkle gets cracked there but stands up to it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gatsby lands the left hand.
Van Winkle throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Gatsby and Van Winkle goes tumbling to the canvas! Gatsby follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Van Winkle is trying to stand back up but Gatsby is controlling him

Gatsby has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Van Winkle looks like he's trying to stand up.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Gatsby's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Gatsby finds Van Winkle's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Van Winkle flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Gatsby lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Van Winkle will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jay Gatsby!
As Jay Gatsby got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: My life, old sport, my life... my life has got to be like this... It's got to keep going on.'.
