Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tap Silog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Denis Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tap Silog! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Denis Burns! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silog misses with a hook. Silog throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
No joy there for Burns, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Burns tries to clinch but Silog is having none of it. Burns fails with a takedown attempt. Silog fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Burns manages to avoid it. Silog shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Silog uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Burns.
Burns staying out of range there. Silog throws a shot from downtown. Burns moves away and avoids it. Burns fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silog tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Burns was well out of range. Poor timing from Silog. Silog throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Silog throws an overhand right that lands on Burns's shoulder, as Burns tries to avoid the shot. Burns tries to close the distance and clinch but Silog swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Silog throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Silog blocks a jab. Burns misses the jab. Silog looks to throw the jab but Burns is out of range. Silog keeps the fight on the outside. Silog looks to throw the jab but Burns is out of range. A slow jab from Burns misses its intended target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Burns misses with a straight right. Burns throws a leg kick but Silog sees it coming and checks it nicely. Silog looks to throw the jab but Burns is out of range. Denis Burns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silog has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Silog there as he acknowledges the shot. Burns swings for the body but Silog moves out of range.
Burns fails in his attempt to clinch. Burns throws the left hand but Silog avoids the punch easily. Burns wants to clinch. Burns slips a jab from Silog.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silog throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Silog is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Burns. Burns misses with a body shot.
Silog throws a right hand that Burns ducks under and follows up with a left that Burns also avoids with ease. Silog looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Burns is fending him off so far but Silog persists. Nope, Burns circles away and we're back to standing. Burns tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silog swats him away and circles back towards the center. Burns misses with a straight right. Burns shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silog as he jumps to the side. Silog throws a hook but Burns blocks it. Burns tries to clinch but Silog moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burns drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Silog wants to sweep here but Burns controlling him for the moment. Burns wants to control from the top but Silog keeps moving. Silog has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Silog preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Silog keeping moving, preventing Burns from controlling successfully. Silog is trying to control the position but Burns postures up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Burns postures up in Silog's guard and throws a big left but Silog blocks it. Burns controls from within his opponent's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Denis Burns dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Silog jabbing away but nothing is landing. Burns displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Silog. Burns throws out a loose jab but Silog uses good head movement to avoid it. Burns shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Silog's guard. Burns throwing strikes from guard but Silog blocks nicely. Burns has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Burns tries to free his leg and advance position but Silog is retaining full guard. Burns trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burns looking to pass the guard. Burns advances to half guard. Burns is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Silog defends it well. Burns not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Silog blocking the ground and pound attempt from Burns. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Burns is working for a submission of some sort.
Silog on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Silog tries to get out of the position. Burns is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Silog sees it coming and defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Burns missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Silog wants to improve his position but Burns is controlling well.
Silog is not content to let Burns control the position. Burns is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Silog has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burns keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Silog is trying to maintain the position but Burns is very close to passing his half guard. Burns looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Burns thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Silog's head. Silog blocking the ground and pound attempt from Burns. Burns missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Silog knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Burns on the ground. Burns is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burns is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Silog keeping hold of Burns's head, controlling as best he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Burns wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silog keeps working. Burns is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Denis Burns showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Silog darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Silog working the head and body with strikes. Burns wants to control but Silog is keeping busy.
Silog trying to control from half guard but Burns is working away. Burns keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Silog winds up and cracks Burns with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Silog seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Burns does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. Burns manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Silog trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Burns can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Silog controls the pace. Burns tries to strike from the bottom.
Silog keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Burns's head. Burns working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silog doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silog manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Burns is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Silog postures up and lands a big shot to Burns's brow. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Burns is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Burns takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Burns tries to strike from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silog working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Burns's head.
Burns is rocked! Silog has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Silog postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Burns covers up, he's hurt! Silog keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Silog and the ref steps in to end the fight! Silog can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
