Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Richard Imer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Stifler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
23 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Richard Imer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Steve Stifler ! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Nard Betker.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stifler lands a jab to the head.

It looks like Richard Imer has been cut. Imer tries to clinch but Stifler is having none of it. Stifler moves away from the strike by Imer. Jab by Imer. Stifler moves out of range as Imer throws a body kick.
Stifler slips a jab from Imer. Stifler misses with a straight right. Imer takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Imer lands a nice hook to Stifler 's body. Stifler takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. A swing and a miss from Stifler . Stifler throws out a powerful jab.
Imer fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Stifler to the ground. Imer is now in Stifler 's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Imer is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Imer pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stifler is keeping the position for now. Stifler is controlling Imer's posture.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Stifler is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Imer wants to control from the top but Stifler keeps moving. Stifler can't keep his opponent in guard - Imer advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Stifler tries to roll over but Imer keeps him under control. Stifler is trying to maintain the position but Imer is very close to passing his half guard.
Imer is looking for a kimura but Stifler is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Imer to get the leverage. Stifler wants to improve his position but Imer is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Imer tries to pass to full mount but Stifler defends it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Stifler is not content to let Imer control the position. Imer is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Stifler is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Stifler is looking to improve his position.
Stifler is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Imer's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Imer's back! Stifler lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Imer trying to control but not successfully. Imer tries to escape the position.

Imer trying to control the hands but Stifler breaks the grip. I really don't envy Imer right now.

A lull in the action here.
You can see the frustration on Imer's face� He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Stifler has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Imer is really stuck here.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Stifler 's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Imer is taking damage to the body and head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Imer is in bad spot here.

Imer is trying to remain composed but Stifler is hammering down strikes to the side of his head. Imer trying to control the action but Stifler just sinks the hooks in. Stifler is punishing Imer with strikes - can he finish him?! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Stifler is hanging on to Imer's back as he tries to escape.
Imer is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Stifler dominated that round. The cut man is working on Richard Imer's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Stifler cracks Imer with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Sloppy strikes from Imer. Those never looked like landing. Imer keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Stifler . A looping hook to the body misses from Imer. Stifler does a little dance to reset his feet. Stifler stuffs the takedown. Stifler just misses with a punch to the body.
Stifler closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Imer to the mat! Imer manages to get full guard. Stifler connects with a couple of short punches.
Imer had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Stifler defends it easily. Stifler is looking to work some ground and pound but Imer has wrist control. Steve Stifler has got the better of the ground game so far.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Stifler is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Stifler postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Stifler trying to control but Imer is working from the bottom. Stifler is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Stifler working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Imer is trying to control the position but Stifler postures up. Imer utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Imer looking to control.
Stifler drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Imer dives on top into guard. Stifler looking for a sweep. Not yet Stifler , not yet.

Imer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stifler does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Stifler is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Imer is looking to take a break and control but Stifler is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Stifler trying to control from the bottom.

Imer wants to free his trapped foot but Stifler is holding on for dear life with his legs. Stifler is looking to improve his position.
Stifler has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Imer tries to pass the half guard into mount. Stifler knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Imer trying to control from half guard but Stifler is working away.

Stifler actively working from the bottom here. Stifler tries to get to full guard but Imer has control of the leg. Stifler keeps trying to improve his position. Stifler has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Imer is working away from the top position though.
Imer wants to work for an arm triangle but Stifler is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stifler holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Imer sitting and controlling from the half guard. Imer tries to pass the half guard into mount. Stifler knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.  That's one minute gone in the round. Stifler throws a combination. Imer tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Stifler jabs Imer right on the nose. Imer blinks but takes it well. Stifler lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Imer at a distance.

and Stifler counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Stifler thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Imer's head. Imer trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stifler unloading with bombs! Stifler scoring with strikes but Imer is staying in there. Imer tries to lock up and control but Stifler gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Richard Imer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Imer is looking to get to half guard. Stifler tries to control but Imer wriggling away. Imer tries to hold on but Stifler pushes him away. Stifler landing strikes, looking to finish! Imer is in a horrible position here. Stifler smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Stifler prevents Imer from getting the reversal. BOOM! Stifler connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Imer takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Stifler lands a big elbow. Stifler landing strikes from the mount and Imer is in trouble! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Stifler cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Imer is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Stifler postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Imer bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Stifler and the fight is over!
