Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brent Toshiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and PJ Carr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Brent Toshiro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, PJ Carr! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carr shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Toshiro pinned against the cage. Toshiro gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Carr shoots and misses and Toshiro counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Carr! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Toshiro controls the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carr is working to avoid the ground and pound but Toshiro connects with a decent elbow. Carr is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. Carr tries to improve position but can't. Toshiro tries to move to mount but Carr blocks the move with his legs. Toshiro is staying tight to Carr's torso, preventing him from escaping. This has been an exciting period of action! Carr takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
You can see the frustration on Carr's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Toshiro slows the pace down. Carr is looking for a sweep. Toshiro tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Carr sneaks back into half guard. Carr is trying to control but can't.
Carr is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Toshiro is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Carr reverses the position - he's now on top in Toshiro's guard. Carr trying to control but Toshiro is working from the bottom. Carr won't allow Toshiro to sweep him here. Toshiro is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Carr drops back looking for a leg! Toshiro is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Toshiro manages to kick Carr off! Carr jumps back into Toshiro's guard. Toshiro is controlling Carr's posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carr stopping the sweep attempt from Toshiro. Carr pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Toshiro is keeping the position for now. Carr trying to control the position from guard on top but Toshiro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Carr stands up from Toshiro's guard - Carr perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Toshiro stuffs the takedown. Brent Toshiro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of PJ Carr. Carr shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Toshiro moves into the clinch. Carr avoiding damage as Toshiro throws knees to the body.
Carr ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Carr no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Toshiro would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Toshiro pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Carr is keeping the position for now. Toshiro has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Carr trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brent Toshiro dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Toshiro is looking to clinch but Carr is avoiding it.
Toshiro shoots in and gets a takedown into Carr's guard. Carr throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carr is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Carr is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Toshiro trying to control but Carr is working from the bottom. Carr is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Toshiro is aware though and is defending well. This has been an exciting period of action! Toshiro would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Carr manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Toshiro manages to get himself to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Toshiro is looking to sweep but instead, Carr has passed into half guard.
Carr is keen to just control but Toshiro is a slippery customer. Carr postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Toshiro to stand up. Toshiro tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Toshiro bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Toshiro wants to stand but Carr has his arm trapped. You can see the frustration on Carr's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Carr sneaks back into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Toshiro is thwarting Carr's attempts to control the position. PJ Carr has got the better of the ground game so far. Toshiro is keen to just control but Carr is a slippery customer. Carr wants to control but Toshiro is keeping busy.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Carr regains full guard. Nicely done. Carr pushes a forearm under Toshiro's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Toshiro is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
