Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Hendriks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piotr Rasputin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dave Hendriks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Piotr Rasputin ! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rasputin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hendriks swivels and escapes. Hendriks throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Hendriks throws the kick towards the body but Rasputin avoids it. Hendriks looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Hendriks misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rasputin shoots in but no luck this time. Rasputin shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rasputin showed some decent athleticism there. Rasputin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Hendriks has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rasputin is working away from the top position though. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Rasputin working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Rasputin is looking for a kimura here.
Rasputin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hendriks's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hendriks is controlling Rasputin 's trapped leg to prevent Rasputin from advancing to side control. Rasputin is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Rasputin is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Rasputin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Hendriks definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Rasputin missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Rasputin is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Hendriks has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rasputin is working away from the top position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rasputin is trying to control the action in half guard but Hendriks is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Rasputin sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Hendriks defending well though. Rasputin passes into side control, despite Hendriks's attempt to control the position.
Rasputin in side control, throwing shots but Hendriks defends. Rasputin looks up at the clock and then as Hendriks takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Rasputin smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
It looks like Dave Hendriks has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rasputin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hendriks, who protects the arm well. Rasputin working the ground and pound. Rasputin creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Dave Hendriks's cut is getting worse. Hendriks is trying to improve his position. Rasputin working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rasputin connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hendriks some visible discomfort.
Jeez, Dave Hendriks's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Dave Hendriks's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Piotr Rasputin ! After winning the bout, Piotr Rasputin thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
