Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mongo Congo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Norifumi Yamamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Congo comes to the cage accompanied by NIN - The Great Destroyer. Mongo Congo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamamoto wants to clinch.
Congo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Yamamoto's waist but Yamamoto gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Congo off to one side.
Yamamoto tries to clinch but Congo moves out of range.

Yamamoto gets caught flat footed, as Congo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Congo trying to control but Yamamoto is working from the bottom.
Congo forces his way into half guard.
Congo looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Congo prevents Yamamoto from standing back up.

Yamamoto actively working from the bottom here.
Yamamoto wants to get back to full guard.

Yamamoto is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Congo pulls his head out easily.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Yamamoto tries to clinch there but Congo circles away.
Congo closes the distance and clinches up with Yamamoto, looking for a takedown. Congo pushes Yamamoto against the cage but Yamamoto circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Congo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Yamamoto sprawls well initially but Congo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Congo looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Congo in particular looking to stall.
Congo drops an elbow to the side of Yamamoto's head.
Congo keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Congo decides to stand up.
Congo fails to land the takedown.

Congo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Congo tries to lock up and control but Yamamoto gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Yamamoto fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Congo is desperately trying to improve his position but Yamamoto has a good base and remains in mount.
Congo wants to hold on but Yamamoto pushes him away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Yamamoto tries to kick Congo off but Congo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Congo content to control rather than advance.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Mongo Congo just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Congo shoots for a double leg takedown but Yamamoto sprawls well. He's pushed Congo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Yamamoto shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Yamamoto showed some decent athleticism there.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Yamamoto seems to be working for a kimura but Congo defends the submission attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mongo Congo showed his dominance in that final round.
