Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nick Figueroa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Berus Lihi!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Valeri Chadov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Figueroa stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lihi.
Lihi misses with a body shot.
Lihi throws out a leg kick but Figueroa moves out of range and Lihi only half commits.
Figueroa fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lihi to the ground. Figueroa is now in Lihi's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Figueroa stands up over Lihi, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Figueroa gets to his feet. Lihi looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Figueroa shoots in and drives through. Lihi sprawls well.
Figueroa fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lihi to the ground. Figueroa is now in Lihi's guard.
Lihi looks winded!
Lihi wants to get back to his feet but Figueroa is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Figueroa not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Figueroa works over Lihi with some ground and pound from guard.
Figueroa has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Figueroa is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Figueroa stops Lihi from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Figueroa drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Figueroa seems to have locked his on tight now - Lihi screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Figueroa, as he picks up the win!
