Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Braenar Blarghh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Kerr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Braenar Blarghh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Juan Kerr!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Leandro Rodrigues and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerr keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Blarghh shoots in for a takedown but Kerr shows good takedown defense.
Kerr tries for a takedown but Blarghh circles away easily
and Blarghh counters with a right hand to the body.
Blarghh circles away from the clinch attempt.
Braenar Blarghh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Donk. Kerr catches Blarghh right on the button with a cross.

Kerr looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Blarghh!
Kerr throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Blarghh is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Poor strikes thrown by Kerr there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Kerr has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Blarghh tries to hold on but Kerr postures up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kerr postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Blarghh looks a forlorn figure.


It looks like Braenar Blarghh has been cut.
Kerr avoids the attempt from Blarghh to control.
Kerr looking to control but Blarghh is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Kerr throws some wild stikes that Blarghh manages to avoid easily.

Kerr has control of Blarghh's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Blarghh regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Kerr looking to control but Blarghh is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Kerr looking to secure an arm triangle but Blarghh defends it well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kerr can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Blarghh is looking to escape.
Kerr lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Kerr thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Blarghh holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Kerr tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Blarghh finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Kerr instigates a clinch.
Kerr prevents a takedown attempt there.
Blarghh wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kerr has him pressed against the cage.

Kerr breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kerr is looking to slow Blarghh down with leg kicks.
Kerr fails with the takedown.
Blarghh fails with the takedown.
Kerr scores with a leg kick.

Kerr scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Kerr tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Blarghh.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kerr is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Kerr uses his free foot to push down on Blarghh's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Blarghh.

Kerr throws some wild stikes that Blarghh manages to avoid easily.
Kerr lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kerr wants to control the pace but Blarghh is squirming around nicely.
Kerr controlling from the full mount.
Kerr trying to control but Blarghh is having none of it.
Blarghh knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kerr on the ground.
Kerr thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Kerr sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kerr connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Kerr controlling from mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kerr trying to control but Blarghh is having none of it.

Despite being in the dominant position, Juan Kerr just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kerr misses with a two punch combination.
Kerr throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Kerr rushes Blarghh and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Kerr pulls Blarghh into guard.
Kerr wants to get back to his feet but Blarghh is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Kerr controls Blarghh momentarily but Blarghh frees himself.
Kerr manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Juan Kerr showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Kerr lands a slapping body shot.
Blarghh swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Kerr counters by clinching up.
Blarghh wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Kerr is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Kerr tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Blarghh is trying to break free.
Kerr wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Blarghh wants to get back to striking at distance but Kerr won't allow it.
Kerr is trying to stall.
Blarghh wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kerr has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blarghh wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Blarghh works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Kerr breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kerr shoots in and drives through. Blarghh sprawls well.
Braenar Blarghh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juan Kerr.

Blarghh lands the left hand.
Blarghh looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kerr is fending him off so far but Blarghh persists. Nope, Kerr circles away and we're back to standing.
Blarghh darts in trying to clinch
and Kerr counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Blarghh looks to land a body kick but Kerr moved away.
Braenar Blarghh is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kerr closes this distance looking for a takedown but Blarghh circles away.
Blarghh throws a lazy body kick
and Kerr counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Blarghh tries for a takedown but Kerr sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Blarghh lands a hook that stumbles Kerr back into the cage. Blarghh follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Kerr to the canvas! Blarghh pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Kerr has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Braenar Blarghh!
