Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jewell Beach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Retchen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jewell Beach! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, James Retchen! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beach is looking to clinch. Beach tries to bum rush Retchen with a series of wild strikes but Retchen uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Retchen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Beach managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Retchen.
Beach is trying to get back to his feet. Beach trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Retchen slows the pace down. Beach tries to buck Retchen off but Retchen is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Retchen stands up. Retchen is looking to score with low kicks. Beach really is a fat lump.
That's one minute gone in the round. Retchen drives through and clinches with Beach against the cage.

Retchen pushes Beach off and gets back to his feet.
Retchen fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Beach to the ground. Retchen is now in Beach's guard. Retchen trying to control but Beach is working from the bottom. Beach wants to get back to his feet but Retchen is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Retchen lands a couple of decent looking shots. Retchen is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Beach tries to land a sweep but no joy. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. James Retchen wasn't active enough on the ground. Retchen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Retchen trying to control but Beach is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beach is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Retchen is controlling him. Beach is breathing heavily. Retchen wants to stand but Beach is controlling his posture from full guard. Retchen is stalling in the full guard. Beach avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Retchen throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Beach is working an open guard so Retchen takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Retchen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Beach takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Retchen trying to control the action but Beach is working from the bottom. Retchen is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Retchen has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Retchen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Beach looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Retchen wants to control but Beach is keeping him busy. Beach is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Retchen wants to control but Beach is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Retchen tries to move into full mount but can't pass Beach's legs. Retchen thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Beach is trying to get back to half guard. Beach wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. Retchen is looking to take a break and control but Beach is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Retchen tries to move to mount but Beach blocks the move with his legs. Beach wants to get back to his feet. Retchen decides to stand up, so the ref orders Beach to his feet. No joy there for Beach, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Retchen has Beach up against the cage in a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Retchen gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Beach is trying to stand up here but Retchen is controlling him well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Retchen trying to control from Beach's half guard. Beach has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Retchen is working Beach over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Beach thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Retchen trying to control but Beach is working from the bottom. Retchen not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Retchen working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. The fighters are working up against the cage. Beach manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Retchen working hard to break the clinch. Beach stalling in the clinch but Retchen improves position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Retchen tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Retchen turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Retchen manages to end up in side control. Retchen tries for a kimura but Beach is defending well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Beach taking punishment in the form of punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Retchen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Retchen wants to get back to his feet. Retchen is looking to control Beach's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Retchen avoid being mounted? Beach wants to take a breather but Retchen is having none of it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A punch combination from Beach misses. Retchen misses with a low kick.
Beach blocks a head kick by Retchen.
Retchen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Beach sprawls well initially but Retchen persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Retchen stalling away here and it's allowed Beach to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Retchen trying to control the position from guard on top but Beach is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Retchen controlling from the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Beach wants to stand and escape but Retchen is having none of it. Retchen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Beach is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Retchen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Beach. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Beach keeping moving, preventing Retchen from controlling successfully.

Jewell Beach has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! James Retchen is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Beach is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
And that's the end of the fight! James Retchen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Retchen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
