Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lon Malone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heth Rollins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rollins has chosen Wal as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lon Malone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Heth Rollins!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Malone clinches up against the cage.
Malone wants a takedown but no success here.

Rollins escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rollins tries to clinch but Malone moves away
and Malone counters with a slapping leg kick.
Malone shoots in for a takedown but Rollins shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Malone gets caught flat footed, as Rollins shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Rollins gets to his feet. Malone looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Rollins is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Malone's half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rollins trying to control the action but Malone is working from the bottom.
Rollins is looking to advance position but Malone won't allow it.

Rollins is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Malone tries to roll over but Rollins keeps him under control.

Rollins wants to stand but Malone has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Malone might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Malone looking for submissions off his back.
Malone really is a fat lump.
Malone is trying to get back to full guard.

Rollins decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A clash of legs there as Rollins blocks the low kick.
Malone throws a head kick that misses.

Rollins drives through with a takedown into guard.
Malone is trying to control the position but Rollins postures up.
Rollins scoring with punches to the head and body.
Rollins passes Malone's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Rollins seems to be working for a kimura but Malone defends the submission attempt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Malone looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Malone is breathing heavily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rollins keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Malone has hold of Rollins's hands but Rollins slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Malone is looking to control Rollins's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Malone avoid being mounted?
Rollins wants to take a breather but Malone is having none of it.
Well, if Rollins is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Malone manages to get to full guard.
Rollins slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
It looks like Rollins might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Heth Rollins was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Rollins tries a head kick but it misses.
Rollins fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Rollins shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Malone pinned against the cage. Malone gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Malone buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Heth Rollins dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


No luck with that takedown attempt from Rollins.
Rollins shoots for a takedown but Malone saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Malone doesn't manage to clinch there - Rollins circles away.
Rollins swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Rollins shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Malone had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rollins defends it easily.

Malone looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Malone wants to stand but Rollins is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rollins looking to pass the guard.
Rollins is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Rollins decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Malone, up you get!
Rollins tries to clinch up but Malone circles away and keeps his distance.
Rollins doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Malone counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Lon Malone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Heth Rollins.
Rollins has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Malone is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Malone fails to pull guard.
Malone tries to land knees in the clinch but Rollins avoids the damage to the body.
Rollins has had enough of the clinch but Malone keeps him there for the moment.

Rollins drags the fight down to the ground.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Malone trying to control but Rollins is working from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rollins is on top in guard.

Malone looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rollins slips nicely into half guard.
Rollins uses his free foot to push down on Malone's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Malone.

Rollins has hold of Malone's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Malone manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Rollins dominating with strikes here.
Rollins lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Rollins has control of Malone's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Malone regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Rollins lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rollins cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Malone slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rollins with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Ground and pound from Rollins.
Malone is trying to get back to full guard.
Rollins controlling the pace.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rollins wants to pass the guard but Malone is defending well.
Rollins is trying to control the action in half guard but Malone is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Malone is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Heth Rollins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Rollins closes the distance and clinches up with Malone, looking for a takedown. Rollins pushes Malone against the cage but Malone circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Rollins swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Rollins shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Malone is trying to defend but Rollins finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Malone is looking to improve his position.

Malone looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Rollins pushes past his half guard into mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Malone wants to control but Rollins is having none of it.
Malone is looking to get to half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rollins trying to control but Malone is having none of it.
Rollins lands a couple of good shots and Malone has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Malone is trying to defend against the choke here but Rollins has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Rollins Tightens the hold and Malone taps out furiously! Rollins displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Heth Rollins!
