The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Bruno Lombardi and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasquez misses with a looping left.
Boa dodges the punch combination from Vasquez.
Vasquez fails to land with a series of punches.
Boa fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Vasquez avoids it really well and circles away.
Vasquez lands a nice shot that snaps Boa's head back.
Boa moves forwards but Vasquez connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Vasquez's coach down at We Are Legion was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Vasquez's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Hector Vasquez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vasquez shoots in and drives through. Boa sprawls well.
Vasquez stuffs the takedown attempt from Boa. Boa gets slowly back to his feet.
A left lands for Vasquez.
It looks like Cyril Boa has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vasquez scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Boa takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Vasquez throws a right hand that Boa ducks under and follows up with a left that Boa also avoids with ease.
Boa bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Boa gets a double leg takedown into Vasquez's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Boa slips nicely into half guard.
Boa is trying to control the action in half guard but Vasquez is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Boa trying to mount his opponent but Vasquez defends it.
Vasquez is holding on to half guard well.
Boa is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Vasquez defends it well.
Boa is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vasquez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Boa.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Boa has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Vasquez defend it? Boa steps over the head and cranks it - Vasquez is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Boa!
