Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vladimir Tretiak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rickson Ottesen!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ottesen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Ottesen looking to control and managing it successfully.
Ottesen looking to control but Tretiak is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Tretiak is looking to get to half guard.
Ottesen sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Tretiak is desperately trying to improve his position but Ottesen has a good base and remains in mount.
Tretiak slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ottesen looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Ottesen frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Ottesen throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Tretiak is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tretiak is looking to get to half guard.
Ottesen controlling his opponent.
Tretiak tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Tretiak manages to control the position for a moment.
Tretiak tries to lock up and control but Ottesen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Ottesen moves to the back.
I really don't envy Tretiak right now.
Ottesen trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Tretiak is in bad spot here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Ottesen's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Tretiak tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Ottesen can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tretiak is looking to escape.
Ottesen seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Tretiak is holding on tight.
Ottesen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Ottesen trying to control but Tretiak is having none of it.

Despite being in the dominant position, Rickson Ottesen just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ottesen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tretiak circles away.

Tretiak closes the distance and clinches.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Tretiak creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Tretiak lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
A nice left hand lands by Tretiak.
Tretiak lands a right hand.
Tretiak tries to score a body lock takedown but Ottesen shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Ottesen is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Tretiak gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Ottesen looks gassed!
Tretiak lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Tretiak lands a left hand.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A short right from Tretiak.
Ottesen drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Vladimir Tretiak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rickson Ottesen.
Tretiak lands a shoulder strike.
Ottesen looking for a takedown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Rickson Ottesen will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Tretiak bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Tretiak wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ottesen keeps working.

Ottesen wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Tretiak has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Ottesen's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Ottesen is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Tretiak!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Vladimir Tretiak!
