Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dan Barnes has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Storm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dan Barnes!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Storm shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Barnes defends it nicely.
Barnes connects with an inside leg kick.

Storm changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Barnes looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Sloppy strikes there by Storm.
Storm slows the pace down.
Barnes is trying to improve his position.
Barnes is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Storm has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Storm postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Barnes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Storm tries to avoid it but Barnes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Storm to the ground. Storm escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Barnes counters with a low kick, right behind Storm 's knee.

Storm has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Barnes is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Barnes swings for the body but Storm moves out of range.

Barnes jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Storm walks away with a smile on his face. Barnes gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Storm darts in looking for a takedown but Barnes gets double underhooks and turns Storm into the cage.

That was a close second round but I would say that Johnny Storm will probably get the nod.

Storm has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Dan Barnes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

We're going to have a standup here because Johnny Storm wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Johnny Storm.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Storm, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
