The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benn keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Benn closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Yardy seems a little lost for a moment, as Benn dominates the positioning.
Yardy wants to get back to his feet.

Benn is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Yardy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Yardy pushes Benn away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Benn gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Benn trying to control the position but Yardy is working away.
Yardy is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Benn landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Yardy is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Benn asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Benn lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Benn is working to tighten is grip on Yardy's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Yardy has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Benn is really squeezing tight and eventually Yardy passes out! Benn breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
