Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kadon King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tensai Riggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kadon King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tensai Riggs!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Kavanagh and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King misses with a body kick.
Nice takedown defense from Riggs. No joy for King on that attempt.

King gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Riggs gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Riggs landing some decent shots from guard.
Riggs looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
King tries to land a sweep but no joy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
King looking to control.
Riggs slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Riggs has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Tensai Riggs wasn't active enough on the ground.

Riggs changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. King looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
King is trying to control Riggs's posture but Riggs avoids it.

Riggs tries for a kimura but King is defending well.
Riggs trying to control the action but King is working from the bottom.

Riggs is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
King can't do much from the bottom here.

King sneaks out the side door and pushes Riggs away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

King feints and as Riggs raises his hands in defense, King changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Riggs is adopting a defensive guard.
Riggs manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

King wants to hold on but Riggs pushes him away.
King tries to reverse the position but Riggs maintains control.
King tries to hold on but Riggs postures up.
Riggs takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
King is looking to improve his position but Riggs isn't that keen on the idea.
Riggs looking to control and managing it successfully.
Riggs trying to control but King is having none of it.

King tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Riggs wants to control the pace but King is squirming around nicely.
King is wriggling around trying to escape.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Riggs goes for an armbar but he's not got it… King turns into him and now he's in Riggs's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Riggs is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tensai Riggs dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and King counters with a nice uppercut.

King shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Riggs manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
King postures up.
King prevents Riggs from getting back to his feet.
Riggs trying to control the position here.
Riggs keeping moving, preventing King from controlling successfully.
Riggs is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tensai Riggs.

King moves into the clinch successfully.

Riggs wants to take the fight to the mat but King manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
King looking to slow down the pace here.
King stops a takedown attempt from Riggs.
Kadon King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tensai Riggs.
Riggs misses with a hook from the clinch.
King is trying to break the clinch but Riggs is controlling him.

King tries for a takedown but Riggs circles away easily

and Riggs counters by clinching up.
Riggs changes levels and goes for a takedown here. King fights it off and pushes away nicely.
King tries a head kick but it misses.

King moves into the clinch successfully.

King has picked Riggs up - he's going for a ride! King dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Riggs is refusing to be controlled, as King sits in half guard.
King prevents Riggs from improving his position.
King with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
King is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Riggs manages to get to full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Riggs is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

King won't allow Riggs to get back to his feet.
King trying to control but Riggs is working from the bottom.

Kadon King has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
King shoots in but Riggs avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Riggs rushes King and presses him up against the cage.
Riggs tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
King dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

King ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. King no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Riggs sitting in guard, not really doing much.
King scores with a short punch from the bottom.
Riggs engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Riggs postures up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Riggs connects with a couple of short punches.
King is trying to keep Riggs in close.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kadon King dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!



Riggs gets caught napping as King dives in and scores a takedown. Riggs manages to retain guard.
King passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Riggs tries to bench press King off him but King keeps the position.

King goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Riggs rolls with the submission and now he's on top in King's guard! Nice work there by Riggs!
Riggs wants to stand but King has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
King lands a decent punch to the body there.
Riggs's corner is telling him to maintain position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
King wants to sweep but no luck.
Riggs slips nicely into half guard.
Riggs controlling the action here.
King trying to control from the bottom.
Riggs controlling the action here.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
King is staying active underneath Riggs, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
King has hold of Riggs's hands but Riggs slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

King is trying to stand.
It looks like Riggs is going to stand back up.
Riggs is looking to take a break and control but King is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Riggs looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Tensai Riggs has got the better of the ground game so far.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tensai Riggs.

King gets a clinch.
King tries to break free but Riggs pushes him back against the cage.
King wants to break free but Riggs has control.

Riggs jumps into guard, dragging King to the mat.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Riggs tries to strike from the bottom.
King tries to stand but Riggs is controlling from the bottom.
King stopping the sweep attempt from Riggs.
Riggs wants to get back to his feet but King is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Riggs working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. King doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. King manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Riggs looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

King wants to control from the top but Riggs keeps moving.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Riggs is on top in guard.
Riggs trying to stand up but can't free himself from King's guard.
Riggs connects with a couple of short punches.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
King is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Riggs is fighting to break King's control of his arms but King is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tensai Riggs comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Riggs has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
