Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Lawler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Distor Centura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lawler might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Tom Petty- I Wont Back Down. Centura is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: 12 Stones - Bulletproof. Ricky Lawler has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good standup being displayed there by Lawler as he connects with a hook.
Lawler will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

and Centura counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Lawler is looking to escape.
Lawler trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Centura looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lawler with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

It looks like Ricky Lawler has been cut.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Centura cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Centura cracks Lawler with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

In his post fight interview, Distor Centura started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
