Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Aguete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aguete comes to the cage accompanied by Los Redondos - El pibe de los astilleros. Hammer has chosen Kuningas Pähkinä & Setä Tamu - Hei Scully as his entrance music. Marco Hammer is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rafael Aguete!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marco Hammer!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aguete swinging wildly here.
Aguete misses with a shot to the body
and Hammer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Aguete getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Danga de danga de dang - Aguete scores with a four punch combination!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Aguete!
Aguete misses with a jab to the body
and Hammer counters with a straight right hand.
Hammer has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Aguete finds it's way round the side to connect with Hammer's head.


Hammer is rocked!

Hammer closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Hammer looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Aguete tries to kick Hammer off in order to stand up. Hammer Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hammer looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Sloppy strikes there by Hammer.
Aguete is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Hammer has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Hammer misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Hammer throws an elbow but Aguete slips to the side and avoids it well.
Aguete is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Hammer asserts his dominance and retains side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hammer trying to control the position but Aguete is working away.
Hammer grinds an elbow into Aguete's temple.


Aguete is rocked!

Hammer has an Americana. Aguete didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Hammer is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Hammer hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Marco Hammer!
After winning the bout, Marco Hammer thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
Rafael Aguete was interviewed post fight and said 'I never imagined I would lose the fight with Marco, he is a poor fighter. next time, I swear I'll rip your head off.'.
