Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Omar Barksdale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucifer Oath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Omar Barksdale has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Omar Barksdale! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lucifer Oath! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barksdale shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Barksdale was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Oath sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Oath moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Barksdale cracks Oath with a solid left hand. Oath wants to sweep but no luck. Barksdale drops back looking for a leg! Oath is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Oath manages to kick Barksdale off! Barksdale jumps back into Oath's guard. Oath keeping moving, preventing Barksdale from controlling successfully. Barksdale drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Barksdale jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oath working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Barksdale doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Barksdale manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Barksdale wants to control from the top but Oath keeps moving. Barksdale pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Oath is keeping the position for now.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Oath gets the takedown into side control. Barksdale is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Oath off and has taken his back! Oath is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Barksdale off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Barksdale lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Oath turns into Barksdale and is now in his guard.
Barksdale is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Barksdale looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Oath really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barksdale. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oath stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Barksdale swivels though and keeps the full guard. Barksdale wants to sweep but no luck. Oath is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Barksdale throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barksdale is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Barksdale lands a nice short elbow. Oath tries to get to full guard but Barksdale has control of the leg. Barksdale has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Oath looks gassed! Oath tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Barksdale has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Barksdale looking to secure an arm triangle but Oath defends it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barksdale postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Oath looks a forlorn figure.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Barksdale lands a big elbow. Barksdale unloading with bombs! Barksdale breaks from Oath's wrist control and lands an elbow. Barksdale lands a nice shot to the head. Barksdale is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Oath has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Oath has given up his back. Will we see Barksdale going for some submissions?

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Barksdale patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Omar Barksdale dominated that round. That's time! Barksdale's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Oath takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Barksdale thows a body shot but no joy. A head kick from Barksdale lands but Oath takes it in his stride.
Oath is rocked! Oath misses with a wild combination.
Oath is still on wobbly legs! Can Barksdale finish him? Oath ducks under a wild hook from Barksdale. Barksdale throws a looping overhand right but Oath ducks down to avoid it. Oath seems to have recovered his senses. Barksdale tries a head kick but it misses.

Oath moves out of range as Barksdale strikes. Oath shoots in and bounces Barksdale off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Oath stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Barksdale swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barksdale working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Oath has passed into half guard!
Oath is looking to take a break and control but Barksdale is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Barksdale actively working from the bottom here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Oath is pressing down on Barksdale's thigh, looking to free his foot. Barksdale is holding on for now. Barksdale punching from the bottom.
Barksdale gets full guard. Barksdale trying to keep a closed guard but Oath is proving a slippery customer.
Omar Barksdale overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Barksdale is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Oath avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Oath slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Barksdale misses with an elbow from the bottom. Oath is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Barksdale has escaped the position, nice work there. Barksdale manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barksdale makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Barksdale. Barksdale trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Barksdale is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Barksdale is tying to control. Oath wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Barksdale is looking for a kimura but Oath is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Barksdale to get the leverage. Barksdale seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Oath does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Barksdale is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Oath is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Barksdale prevents Oath from improving his position. Barksdale trying to control the action but Oath is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Oath tries to roll over but Barksdale keeps him under control. Barksdale perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Barksdale is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Oath is not content to let Barksdale control the position. Oath is looking to improve his position.
Barksdale scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Nice strikes from Barksdale there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Omar Barksdale dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
A jab from Barksdale misses. A clash of legs there as Oath blocks the low kick. A solid body kick from Barksdale. Barksdale misses with the combination.

Barksdale shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Barksdale was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Barksdale with a couple of short strikes. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Oath tries to improve his position but instead Barksdale has taken his back! Barksdale tries to get the hooks in deep but Oath pushed the leg off. Oath is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Barksdale gets his way!

Barksdale not allowing Oath to control his hands. Barksdale is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Oath has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Barksdale has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Oath taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Barksdale doesn't care though - he's delighted!
