Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Bashor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richie Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Lewis's choice of entrance music: Immigrant Song. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jesse Bashor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Richie Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bashor shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lewis's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Lewis is trying to control the position but Bashor postures up.

Bashor thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Bashor stopping the sweep attempt from Lewis.
Bashor in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Bashor landing some decent shots from guard.
Bashor pushing down on Lewis's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Lewis is defending against the submission attempts here by Bashor.
Bashor not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Bashor is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lewis is just riding it out for now. Bashor eventually gives up the hold.
Lewis is trying to maintain the position but Bashor is very close to passing his half guard.

Bashor lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Bashor slips a nice elbow through Lewis's hands, connecting with Lewis's forehead.
Lewis is controlling Bashor's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Bashor is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Bashor is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Bashor scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Bashor looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Bashor throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Bashor has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bashor is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Lewis wants to improve his position but Bashor is controlling well.

Bashor is working for a kimura but Lewis is defending it quite comfortably.

Lewis wants to get back to full guard.
Lewis trying to hold on to Bashor's head to control him but Bashor postures up.
Bashor throws a strike but Lewis avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Bashor is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lewis is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lewis has escaped and now he's on top!

Bashor is looking for a triangle but Lewis pushes his legs off easily.
Lewis trying to control the position from guard on top but Bashor is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lewis's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Bashor is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Lewis might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bashor haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Lewis told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Bashor looking for a triangle here. Lewis is fighting it but it looks tight! Bashor pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Lewis is tapping out - this one is all over!
