Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Scott Alvisi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alvisi's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, AC/DC - Live Wire. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Scott Alvisi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Larry Burns!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvisi stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Burns.
Burns throws a head kick but Alvisi moves out of range.
No luck for Alvisi with that takedown attempt.
Larry Burns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alvisi shoots for a takedown but Burns saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Burns tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Alvisi blocks a head kick by Burns.
Burns wants to clinch up but Alvisi keeps it at a distance.
Alvisi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Burns fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Alvisi is out of range.
Burns has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Alvisi is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Burns, right into the meat.
Burns doesn't manage to clinch there - Alvisi circles away.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Alvisi checks a leg kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Alvisi crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Burns - the referee stops the clock and Alvisi gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Burns. Alvisi manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Burns pushes off an throws an elbow but Alvisi leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Burns gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Burns is pressed up against the cage. Alvisi has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Burns down to the mat. Burns avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Alvisi steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Burns. That one must have hurt.
Burns fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Alvisi has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Burns lands with a light punch inside.

Burns pushes off an throws an elbow but Alvisi leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Burns struggles to land a body shot inside as Alvisi controls his hands.
Alvisi takes an elbow to the forehead.
Alvisi is working for takedown but Burns is calmly controlling the position for now.

With the fighters up against the cage, Burns throws an elbow but misses.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Burns is leaning against Alvisi and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Burns gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Alvisi shoots in and drives through. Burns sprawls well.

Burns lands a nice leg kick that just misses Alvisi's sensitive parts.
Alvisi shoots for a double leg takedown but Burns sprawls well. He's pushed Alvisi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Alvisi. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Alvisi dives in and grabs Burns's left leg, looking for a takedown. Burns pushes down on Alvisi's head and hops out.
Burns throws a half hearted mid kick.
Alvisi stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Burns.

Burns forces Alvisi back against the cage and clinches.
Burns taking a breather.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Larry Burns showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Larry Burns seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Alvisi gets a double leg takedown into Burns's guard.
Alvisi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Burns's guard.
Alvisi tries to pass to full mount but Burns defends it.

Alvisi seems to be working for a kimura but Burns defends the submission attempt.
Burns is trying to get back to full guard.

Alvisi looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Alvisi working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Burns's thigh. Burns counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Alvisi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Burns swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Burns not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Alvisi postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Burns is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Alvisi, into his guard.

Alvisi keeping moving, preventing Burns from controlling successfully.

Alvisi is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Burns has his hands clasped together but Alvisi extends and breaks Burns's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Alvisi.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Scott Alvisi!
After winning the bout, Scott Alvisi thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
