The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toyotomi fails with a takedown attempt.
Couturier looks to land a combination but Toyotomi avoids it well.
A chopping leg kick lands by Toyotomi.
Couturier is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Couturier tries to clinch up but Toyotomi circles away and keeps his distance.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Toyotomi postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Couturier looks a forlorn figure.
Toyotomi lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kurtis Couturier will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Couturier throws a hook to the side of Toyotomi's head but Toyotomi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Toyotomi tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Couturier lands a nice shot to the body.

Toyotomi wants to take the fight to the mat but Couturier manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Couturier breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Toyotomi.

It looks like Hideyoshi Toyotomi has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
