Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sherman Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Klaus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Randy Klaus will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klaus shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Mason moves into the clinch.
Klaus is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Klaus prevents the takedown attempt.
Klaus dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Klaus tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mason smiles and moves away.
Sloppy strikes from Klaus. Those never looked like landing.
Klaus fails with an attempt to clinch.
Klaus fails to land the takedown.
Sherman Mason has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randy Klaus.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Klaus lands with a slapping head kick.
Klaus shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Mason is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Klaus's half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Mason is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Mason looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Mason prevents Klaus from improving his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mason is looking for a kimura but Klaus is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mason to get the leverage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mason is pressing down on Klaus's thigh, looking to free his foot. Klaus is holding on for now.
Klaus is trying to stand up here but Mason is controlling him well.
Mason scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

That has opened up Randy Klaus's cut even more.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Mason tries to pass to full mount but Klaus defends it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mason is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Mason breaks from Klaus's wrist control and lands an elbow.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Randy Klaus's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
