Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Leonard Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kale Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cruz has chosen Welcome to the Jungle as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Khan loads up on a big right hand but Cruz slips the punch.

Cruz gets the takedown into side control.
The referee asks Cruz politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Cruz prefers to stall for the moment though.
Khan gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Cruz in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Khan makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Khan.

Cruz performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Khan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cruz is working away from the top position though.
Cruz prevents Khan from improving his position.

Khan is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Cruz pulls his head out easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Khan tries to roll over but Cruz keeps him under control.
Cruz is looking to advance position but Khan won't allow it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Cruz takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cruz closes the distance and clinches up with Khan, looking for a takedown. Cruz pushes Khan against the cage but Khan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Cruz looks gassed!

It looks like Kale Cruz has been cut.
Khan scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cruz takes one to the chin there.
Khan cracks a nice hook into Cruz's ribs.
Khan feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Cruz sprawling to the canvas! Cruz rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Khan finish him?!

Cruz is rocked!
Cruz circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Khan. Cruz falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Khan!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Leonard Khan!
