Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Domenic Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathaniel Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peterson has chosen guns of brixton as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Nathaniel Peterson has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Domenic Cole's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Domenic Cole! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nathaniel Peterson! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cole misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Peterson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cole circles away. Cole misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Peterson has Cole up against the cage in a clinch.
Cole keeps control of Peterson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Peterson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cole walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Peterson looks for a takedown but Cole sprawls well. Peterson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cole sprawls well initially but Peterson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Peterson trying to pass the guard but Cole defending well. Peterson seems to be working for a kimura but Cole defends the submission attempt. Peterson working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Cole's thigh. Cole counters though and makes it back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Peterson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cole is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peterson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Peterson tries to free his leg and advance position but Cole is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peterson passes easily into side control. Nice work. Peterson is staying tight to Cole's torso, preventing him from escaping. Cole tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Peterson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Peterson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Peterson decides to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Peterson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Cole. Peterson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Domenic Cole has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nathaniel Peterson. Peterson lands a glancing blow to the side of Cole's head. Cole connects with a looping right hand.
Peterson goes for a double leg but Cole avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Cole continues to drive forward. Peterson tries to land knees in the clinch but Cole avoids the damage to the body. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Peterson has had enough of the clinch but Cole keeps him there for the moment. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Peterson is trying to break the clinch but Cole has him pressed against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nathaniel Peterson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Domenic Cole's cut. That's time! Cole's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Sloppy strikes from Peterson. Those never looked like landing. Cole shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Peterson moves into full guard.
Peterson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Peterson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Cole's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Cole throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cole stopping the sweep attempt from Peterson. Cole throws a strike but Peterson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Cole keeping full guard, as Peterson tries to pass. Cole has control of Peterson's left arm, preventing Peterson from doing any damage. Peterson is working Cole over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. We've been informed that Peterson has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Cole will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peterson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Peterson gets to his feet. Cole looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Nathaniel Peterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Peterson closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Cole is rocked! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Peterson rushes Cole and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Oh Cole is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Cole is defending well against a takedown attempt. Cole is pressed up against the cage. Peterson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cole down to the mat. Cole avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Peterson darts in and clinches Cole up against the cage. Peterson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cole has him pressed against the cage. Peterson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Cole's efforts to push away. Peterson lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Cole to his knees! Peterson keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nathaniel Peterson! A very excited looking Nathaniel Peterson rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
