Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Arthur Salazar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Matthew King!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Santiago Holmes and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salazar tries for a takedown but King sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Salazar tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but King swivels and escapes.
King uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Salazar.

Salazar gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
King looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
King tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Salazar smiles and moves away.
Salazar connects with an inside leg kick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Salazar.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arthur Salazar. That's going to take a lot out of him.
King throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Salazar moves into the clinch.

Salazar shoots in for a takedown but King shows good takedown defense.

Salazar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Salazar shoots in looking for a takedown. King tries to sprawl out of it but Salazar keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. King manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Salazar looks for a takedown but King sprawls well.
Salazar leaves King with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Salazar darts in and clinches King up against the cage.

Salazar closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Salazar wants the takedown. King is fighting it off but Salazar persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in King's guard against the cage.
King preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Salazar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. King swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Salazar loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Salazar throws a strike but King rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
King being controlled here momentarily.

King drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. King seems to have locked his on tight now - Salazar screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for King, as he picks up the win!
