Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sammie Shelton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pawel Kosmyk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Kavanagh and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Kosmyk. Those never looked like landing.
Kosmyk motions for Shelton to come forward. Kosmyk throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Kosmyk misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A punch combination from Kosmyk misses.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Shelton is defended easily by Kosmyk.
Shelton dives in and grabs Kosmyk's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kosmyk pushes down on Shelton's head and hops out.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Kosmyk can't break the clinch.
Shelton prevents Kosmyk from breaking the clinch.
Kosmyk wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Shelton has him pressed against the cage.
Shelton pulls guard effortlessly.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Shelton looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Shelton is on top in guard.

Shelton loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Kosmyk is looking to stand up but Shelton isn't so interested in that idea.
Kosmyk wants to get back to his feet but Shelton passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shelton throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Shelton thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kosmyk's head.

Shelton is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kosmyk doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Shelton.
Shelton is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Kosmyk is trying to escape back to his feet but Shelton uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Shelton sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Kosmyk is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Kosmyk is trying to buck Shelton off.
Shelton really is a fat lump.
Shelton tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Kosmyk tries to escape but Shelton is in control.

Shelton creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Kosmyk cracks Shelton with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
It looks like Sammie Shelton has been cut.
Shelton scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Kosmyk scores with a jab. Shelton acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Kosmyk misses with a few strikes there.
Pawel Kosmyk is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kosmyk slaps away a takedown attempt from Shelton, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kosmyk throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kosmyk fails to land with a series of punches.
Shelton moves into range and clinches up with Kosmyk.
Shelton drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kosmyk gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Kosmyk wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Shelton wants to take the fight to the mat but Kosmyk manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sammie Shelton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Shelton is trying to pull guard but Kosmyk has him pressed against the cage.
Shelton pulls guard effortlessly.

Kosmyk wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Shelton's closed guard. He's half up but Shelton has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Shelton pivots and extends the arm, Kosmyk falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Shelton! Well done that man!
