PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dee Stroya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tiki Toke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Toke has chosen Bonecracker- Shocore as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
18 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dee Stroya!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Tiki Toke!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Reed Andrews and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toke lands a right hook to the body.
Stroya with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Stroya just misses with a punch to the body.
Stroya bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Toke's head backwards.
Toke has his takedown stuffed
and Stroya counters with a right hand to the body.
Toke scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Toke throws a left and a right that both miss
and Stroya counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
A big head kick from Stroya and Toke is sent sprawling to the canvas!
Toke is rocked!
It looks like Tiki Toke has been cut.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Stroya stands up over Toke, holding on to his feet. Stroya throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Toke is out cold! Stroya lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Dee Stroya!
Dee Stroya retains his light heavyweight title!
After winning the bout, Dee Stroya thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
