Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Torben Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steffan Stove (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Stove's choice of entrance music: Fire. Torben Hansen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Hugh Johnson and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stove lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Hansen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Sloppy strikes from Hansen. Those never looked like landing.
Hansen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Stove jabs Hansen to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Stove throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Stove pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Hansen wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Steffan Stove seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hansen with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Stove to score with a decent uppercut.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Stove throws a leg kick which misses Hansen's front leg but catches the back leg as Hansen tries to avoid it.
Hansen tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Stove defends well and Hansen ends up having to push Stove into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

I was talking to Hansen's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Hansen breaks the clinch.
Steffan Stove seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Stove shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

and Hansen counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

and Hansen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Hansen. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Well Stove has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
