Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyron Woodley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kung Si Fo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kung Si Fo!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Si Fo jabs Woodley right on the nose. Woodley blinks but takes it well.
Woodley fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Si Fo throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Woodley connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Woodley misses with a takedown attempt - Si Fo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Woodley throws a sloppy head kick and Si Fo moves out of range easily.

Woodley tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Si Fo defends well and Woodley ends up having to push Si Fo into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Woodley shoots in but no luck this time.

Si Fo lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Si Fo.

Woodley shoots for a double leg takedown but Si Fo sprawls well. He's pushed Woodley's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Kung Si Fo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Si Fo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Woodley moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Woodley tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Si Fo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Si Fo tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Woodley's elbow.
Woodley goes for a takedown attempt but Si Fo pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Si Fo scores with a crisp jab that stopped Woodley in his tracks.
Woodley doesn't manage to clinch there - Si Fo circles away.

Woodley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Si Fo tries to avoid it but Woodley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Si Fo to the ground. Si Fo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Woodley counters with a right hand to the body.
Woodley throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Si Fo.
Si Fo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Si Fo misses with a looping left.
Si Fo swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Woodley closes the distance and clinches.

Woodley's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Kung Si Fo will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Woodley looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Woodley takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Si Fo throws a right hand that Woodley ducks under and follows up with a left that Woodley also avoids with ease.
Woodley tries to close the distance and clinch up but Si Fo swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Si Fo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Si Fo throws a right and a left that Woodley avoids nicely.

Si Fo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tyron Woodley will probably get the nod.
That's time! Woodley's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Woodley closes the distance and clinches up with Si Fo, looking for a takedown. Woodley pushes Si Fo against the cage but Si Fo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Woodley tries to score a power double leg takedown but Si Fo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Woodley somewhat.
No joy there for Si Fo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Woodley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Si Fo lands with a hook. Woodley tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Si Fo throws a combination that misses
and Woodley counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Woodley fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Woodley tries to clinch up but Si Fo circles away and keeps his distance.
Si Fo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Si Fo might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

and Woodley moves into the clinch.

Woodley ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Woodley no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Si Fo advances position into side control!

Woodley tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Si Fo wants to take a breather but Woodley manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Si Fo.
Woodley looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tyron Woodley.
I think Woodley has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
