Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dirk Walters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BJ Penncil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Dirk Walters has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penncil shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Penncil fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Walters scores with a crisp jab that stopped Penncil in his tracks.
Penncil shoots in for a double leg but Walters sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Dirk Walters has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of BJ Penncil.
Walters works over Penncil's head and body with a nice combination.
Walters lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Penncil circles away quickly and effectively.
Walters throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Walters throws a right hand that Penncil ducks under and follows up with a left that Penncil also avoids with ease.
Penncil looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Walters is fending him off so far but Penncil persists. Nope, Walters circles away and we're back to standing.
Walters lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Penncil circles away quickly and effectively.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Penncil fails with the takedown
and Walters counters with a three punch combo that has Penncil backing up. Penncil nods at Walters to acknowledge the strikes.
Walters slaps away a takedown attempt from Penncil, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Penncil slips a jab and a cross from Walters.

Penncil shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Walters is trying to defend but Penncil finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Walters looks like he's trying to stand up.

Penncil is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Walters sees it coming and defends easily.
Walters is trying to get back to full guard.

Walters on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Walters tries to get out of the position.
Penncil is trying to control. Walters wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Walters is trying to maintain the position but Penncil is very close to passing his half guard.

Penncil is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Walters doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Penncil.

Walters is wriggling around trying to escape.

Penncil wants to finish this one by submission but Walters is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Penncil.
Walters can't escape the position.
Walters wants to control but Penncil is having none of it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Walters is desperately trying to improve his position but Penncil has a good base and remains in mount.
Walters is controlling an arm, preventing Penncil from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Penncil is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Walters is in real trouble.
Walters knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Penncil on the ground.

Penncil has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Walters is in real trouble here. Penncil gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Walters is tapping out! Penncil wins by rear naked choke!
