Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jet Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BV Rasp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jet Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, BV Rasp!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Rasp.
Rasp lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Jones backs up against the cage.
Rasp lands a nice shot to the body.
Rasp scoring well with a low kick there.

Jones looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Rasp!
Rasp is working to get back to half guard.
Rasp throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Rasp is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Rasp defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Jones.
Rasp is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Rasp tries to hold on but Jones pushes him away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones controlling his opponent.
Rasp slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Jones is looking for a kimura here.
Rasp missing with punches from the bottom.
Rasp is refusing to be controlled, as Jones sits in half guard.
Rasp tries to roll over but Jones keeps him under control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Rasp is trying to maintain the position but Jones is very close to passing his half guard.
Rasp wants to get back to full guard but Jones has passed into side control.
Jones breaks from Rasp's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Rasp keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rasp slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones stops Rasp from getting back to his feet.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jones lands a nice short elbow.
Rasp is looking to improve his position.
Rasp looks gassed!
Rasp trying to control here.
Jones has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Rasp tries to hold on but Jones postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Jones looking to control and managing it successfully.
Jones connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Rasp is desperately trying to improve his position but Jones has a good base and remains in mount.
Jones can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rasp is looking to escape.
Jones prevents Rasp from getting the reversal.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but BV Rasp will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Jones looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Rasp!
Rasp gets back to half guard.
Rasp tries to roll over but Jones keeps him under control.
Jones working the head and body with strikes.
Rasp is looking to control Jones's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rasp avoid being mounted?
Jones landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Jones looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rasp with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Jones seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rasp trying to hold on to Jones's head to control him but Jones postures up.

Jones stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Rasp to get to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jones has a takedown stuffed.
Rasp connects with a high kick.
Jones misses with a few strikes there.
A solid leg kick lands there for Rasp.
Jones shoots in for a takedown but Rasp shows good takedown defense.
A left and a right from Rasp both land. Nice combination.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rasp shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rasp lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jones takes a kick to the side of the head.


It looks like Jet Jones has been cut.
Nice takedown defense from Jones. No joy for Rasp on that attempt.
Rasp throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Jones's head.
Jones takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Rasp pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Jones moves into the clinch successfully.
Rasp landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Rasp lands a right hand.
Jones fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jet Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jones tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rasp smiles and moves away.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Jones.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rasp is pushing Jones's head away, looking to escape. Jones manages to hold on to the position though.
You can see the frustration on Rasp's face as Jones controls the position.
Rasp is looking for a sweep.
Jones works to advance to full mount. Rasp defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Jones with shots to the head and body - Rasp looks very uncomfortable down there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jones looking to control and managing it successfully.
Rasp wants to hold on but Jones pushes him away.
Rasp is trying desperately to improve position.
Jones can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rasp is looking to escape.
Rasp is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jet Jones will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Jet Jones's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Rasp lands a front kick.
Rasp lands with a slapping head kick.
Rasp keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Rasp lands a nice looking body shot.
Jones fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Rasp moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Rasp misses with a head kick.
Jones takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Jones takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Jet Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Rasp shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rasp was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Rasp looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones tries to lock up and control but Rasp gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Rasp looking to control but Jones is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Rasp scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Jones is bucking up trying to escape but Rasp cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Rasp landing shots from mount.
Jones tries to hold on but Rasp postures up.
Rasp unloading with bombs!
Jones wants to control but Rasp is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rasp with a couple of short strikes.
Rasp punishing his opponent with strikes.
Rasp lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Jones hang on?
Rasp is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Rasp trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Jones regains half guard.
Jones works his way to full guard. Good work.
Rasp wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rasp pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jones is keeping the position for now.
Jones wants to stand but Rasp is controlling the position.

Rasp avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Rasp throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jones works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Rasp postures up.

Rasp drops back looking for a leg! Jones is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jones manages to kick Rasp off! Rasp jumps back into Jones's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Jones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jones avoids the head kick by Rasp.

Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Jones avoids the attempt from Rasp to control.
Jones controlling from mount.

Jones is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Rasp has managed to escape the submission attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
BV Rasp comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Rasp has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3 rounds of action, we go to the scorecards for a decision.
