Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marlon Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Benn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griffin's entrance music is "Don't Waste My Time" by Jim Johnston. A fine choice. DJ Benn has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marlon Griffin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, DJ Benn! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Benn misses with a few strikes there.
Griffin looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Benn closes the distance and pushes Griffin back into the cage. Benn breaks the clinch.
Benn drives through and clinches with Griffin against the cage.
Griffin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Benn throws a right hand that Griffin ducks under and follows up with a left that Griffin also avoids with ease. Benn throws a low kick but Griffin avoids it. Griffin misses with a two punch combination.
Benn rushes Griffin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Benn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Benn has Griffin up against the cage in a clinch.

A quick uppercut on the inside from Benn. Benn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

A combination from Benn does no damage. Benn closes the distance and pushes Griffin back into the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griffin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Benn shoots in looking for a takedown. Griffin tries to sprawl out of it but Benn keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Griffin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Benn moves into range and clinches up with Griffin. Griffin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Benn manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Griffin closes the distance and clinches. Griffin tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Benn's elbow. Benn lands a body punch in the clinch. Benn breaks the clinch.
Griffin looks to clinch and Benn cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Benn drives through and clinches with Griffin against the cage.
Griffin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Benn looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Benn leaves Griffin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Benn throws a series of punches but Griffin moves out of range. Benn fails to land the takedown. Griffin has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Griffin is rocked! We've been told by Griffin's head coaches at Cozad MMA Los Angeles that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A punch combination from Benn misses. Oh Griffin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! and Benn counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Griffin! He's just covering up as Benn starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). DJ Benn! Marlon Griffin was interviewed post fight and said 'The miracle is comin!'.
