Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Grady Saunders!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fatty Pig!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Sergei Dronov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pig fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Saunders sprawls well initially but Pig persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Pig seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Saunders is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Saunders trying to hold on to Pig's head to control him but Pig postures up.
Saunders is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pig's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pig's back!
Pig is in bad spot here.
Pig is still trying to improve position.
Pig prevents Saunders from getting a body triangle.
Saunders will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Pig looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Saunders lands a shot to the body.
Saunders really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Pig.
Pig staying busy and making it hard for Saunders to control.

Saunders misses with a punch to the head.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Pig avoids the strikes from Saunders.
Pig tries to escape but Saunders has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Saunders avoiding Pig 's attempts to control his hands.
Pig covering up well under a barage of strikes.
Saunders really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Saunders is looking to control Pig but Pig is wriggling around and keeping busy.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Saunders wants to control but Pig is keeping busy.

Pig rolls, trying to escape but Saunders keeps control of the position.
Saunders missing with strikes.
Saunders gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
Pig tries to roll but Saunders sticks to his back.
Saunders missing with punches from the back.
Saunders tries to keep control of the position but Pig is staying busy.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Saunders is hanging on to Pig's back as he tries to escape.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Pig has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Saunders uses from the top position.
Pig utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
We've been informed that Pig has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Saunders content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Saunders has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Saunders distracts Pig with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Saunders postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Saunders passes Pig's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Pig wants to control but Saunders is keeping busy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Saunders not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Pig is trying to stand up here but Saunders is controlling him well.
Pig keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Saunders moves nicely into side control.
Pig really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Saunders. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pig tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Saunders wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Saunders sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Pig is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

An elbow from Saunders crashes against the mat.
Saunders creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Saunders wants to control but Pig is keeping him busy.
Pig on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Saunders working the head and body with strikes.

Saunders controlling the position from side mount.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pig can do anything to dispel that myth.
Saunders wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pig keeps working.
Pig wants to control but Saunders postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Grady Saunders dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!



Saunders has closed the distance and engaged Pig in a clinch.
Saunders is looking to control Pig's arms but Pig gets an underhook and turns him. Now Saunders has his back to the cage.
Pig lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Pig breaks the clinch.

Pig closes the distance and clinches.
Pig throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Saunders blocks it with crossed arms.
Saunders is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Pig pulls him back up using the underhooks.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Pig is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Pig gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Saunders regains guard.
Grady Saunders overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Pig trying to control the position from guard on top but Saunders is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pig postures up.
Pig takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Pig postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Pig controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Saunders manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Saunders throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Pig manages to pull guard.
Saunders makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Pig is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Saunders trying to control but Pig is working from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Saunders trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Pig has an active guard here but Saunders has managed to pass into half guard.
Saunders thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pig's head.
Saunders is trying to control. Pig wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Saunders is thwarting Pig's attempts to control the position.
Pig is controlling Saunders's trapped leg to prevent Saunders from advancing to side control.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Fatty Pig wasn't active enough on the ground.
A looping hook to the body misses from Saunders. Pig does a little dance to reset his feet.
Pig displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Saunders.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Grady Saunders. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Saunders fails with the takedown.
Saunders looks to score with a jab to the body but Pig is just out of range.
Fatty Pig has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Pig manages to pull guard.
Saunders loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Fatty Pig.
I think Saunders has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
